Well, I finally made my journey to Rochester NY to see my grandparents. After, my short visit, drove another hour or so north to Niagara Falls. What a sight. Place was perfect, and I would recommend anyone to visit if they are in the area. Granted the Canada side is better. The American side was just as nice. I hope to go back and see it from the Canadian Side. Other than that, my weekend was just a drive out on i90 for 8hrs to i490 to Rochester. Now I am getting sick as a dog and fighting a cold. I have a lot to do this weekend and glad I finished the midterm today.
Thanks for blogging.

My Favorite Movie Poster Picture of the Day!!
This is my favorite Sci-Fi Movie. I love this picture for Terminator 2 - Judgment Day
Please Check Out This Awesome VIdeo
I am a guy, and yes I like things that go fast, guns, and having a good time. I came across this video and I want to try this so bad. I think this is crazy and just looks exciting to do. What do you think?
The effects of the Internet on Media
The Internet has affected various media outlets in several ways. The biggest way the Internet has affected the media in regards to music and movies is iTunes. No longer do we need to wait in lines to purchase a music CD. We just download the CD in .mp3 format save it to our iTunes library and transfer it to our iPod or burn the files to a CD. This is fantastic. Also, you can rent and purchase movies via iTunes that removes the profit from the retailer. Apple has come into the picture as a leader in the media world.
As, for the “copyright laws” I am not a fan of them. If the information is available on the Internet then people should be able to download then. Shame on the companies for not having stronger protection on their media. We have billions of dollars for large corporations and they are going after the little man who downloads a song or two illegally. I can see if it was being downloaded and then sold then yes, I agree but if you download a song here or there it should not be a big deal.
Netflix is another great media outlet where we can watch videos online. You can log into Youtube.com and see video’s and listen to music streaming to your computer. It is crazy how media is available over the Internet whether its music, movies, or pictures. The newspaper, news, weather are all also available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Ahhh... Freedom
Well, yesterday 9/20/2010 was the day I got my independence back. By this I mean I became a freeman. My 120 days were up for my divorce and now I can start a new path in life and future. This is better than my birthday, Christmas or any day for that matter.
I was a little shocked with the clerks at the Salem Probate court. They were not helpful at all. I guess if I was stuck behind a desk dealing with miserable people all day I might be an lump on a log too.
This was great, 20 bucks for a piece of paper that says I am divorced. Now the next process is to refinance my house and get her name off the deed, title and mortgage. If anyone has gone through this process and can help guide me along my way I would greatly appreciate any insight.
Thanks

Trip to Martha's Vineyard
Good Morning All,
Well, I am proud to say that I have now visited the wonderful Martha's Vineyard and I must say it was not what I expected. I was expecting million dollar homes but I was shocked that it just looked like the regular Cape Cod experience. The ferry ride was fun, but at the same time it was cold. We had a great time. A great deal of walking, shopping and relaxing took place. The island is rather expensive for even the littlest items. The weather was 70-75 degrees with no humidity but had a constant ocean front breeze.
Have any of you been to the Vineyard? If so where did you arrive and what was your experience?
I arrived at Falmouth and departed on the ferry to Oaks Bluff. What a fantastic port to arrive in. People were extremely friendly and willing to help us (tourist) out. I was just amazed that the people were friendly but at the same time it makes sense because they are nice to try to get you into their little shops to have your purchase goods.
The only Item I bought was a lobster magnet. I am sure I’ll be writing more in the future. The fairs are starting. Topsfield MA, as well as Deerfield NH are approaching rapidly at the end of the month and I plan on blogging about them as well.

Week 3 - Internet Communications
The internet has changed the way the world communicates with every which way you can think about. Now we can communicate worldwide with friends, family, and loved ones. Not only just with emails but with applications for schools, loans, and being able to see your bank statements. I feel the internet has brought family and friends closer. I personally use Facebook to talk to all my uncles, aunts and cousins on a daily basis. Even my 90 year old grandparents use Facebook. I used to use Myspace but that’s a social network of the past. I feel Facebook is the best out of the two. I do not feel email is has made us impersonal. I still call my mom when its relevant because its nice to still be able to communicate with her and I can tell by the tones in her voice if everything is alright. I do not have a Skype account, but I do use AOL instant messenger as well as Blackberry Messenger. I feel Blackberry’s and iPhones have changed the way one communicates as well. Even txt messages. Now with Facebook, I have been able to communicate with people that I have not seen or talked to since elementary school The internet has change us in several way in which we now use as a tool to communicate.

Adding Images to a Blog Post
The image that i am posting is My 1999 Saab Viggen. Only 400 were built in 1999 and currently less that 100 world wide still alive and running. I have a strong passion for cars and this one is my baby. Currently has 350hp and gets 36mpg. I do not know why it intrests me, but I have owned it for 4 years and just keep it looking good. I found it in Rowely Mass. This is the actual picture of my car and I won Best Viggen at a Saab Car Show.
Impact of Internet in our Society
The Internet and the World Wide Web have changed Education tremendously. Students now can do all their research online and do not have to go to a library to find information. We can watch videos, listen to speeches/lectures as well as find an abundance of information on the Internet to help aid in research and papers. I do not know the last time I physically went to a library to get information. Information is just available and you don’t have to wait for it. You don’t have to worry about someone having the book or the print out and have to wait for it to return.
Now, students can get an education online. Students like myself, take online classes and do not have to go to a university or a campus to go to school. This helps a lot of students who have strict time frames and cannot accommodate a classroom session in their lives. With the positives there are always negatives. Students don’t interact with other students in group projects and do not get the visual aid of a teacher teaching in front of the classroom. The internet has made education and learning a valuable tool for all ages.

Expectations for 91.113 Exploring the Internet
My expectations for this class are to get a better understanding of the Internet. I am rather good with computers but I don't know a great deal about the Internet. I just click on the E for internet explorer and it opens up to Google and I am good to browse around..
I currently do not read any blogs, but I do enjoy reading what others are doing on Facebook. Is Facebook blogging? I do not know. I am amazed at what people will post on Facebook. If they do not have the privacy settings configured correctly anyone can see their pages.
Topics that interest me are: cars, sports, traveling, and just general news about what’s going on in the world.
Previous experience with the Internet is moderate. I know how to use a flikr.com account and check my email. I am an avid online shopper. I was addicted to eBay, but no longer. I deleted my eBay name ant it was the best thing that I have done. I know am saving instead of spending. The Internet seems to have endless opportunities and resources together as much information as possible.
